Mike,

I swear God is really surprising sometimes, i was trying to find some interesting books to order on amazon.com and I've found your book. The big surprise was to discover that my husband is in the book: Leo Little :)

I really want to thank you because you selected the pages describing who he really is: a strong and generous man accepting his sentence but also trying with the best he can to give a wonderful sense to his life despite the prison. At this time, through this meeting with Lord he found himself and where he wanted to go. He has deep roots now even if his faith and his thoughts about God have changed, not on the bad way... God blessed us because his sentence has been changed almost 3 years ago.

We decided to get married one year ago. This commitment is the most beautiful gift he could gave me:) I'm happy to be his wife despite the prison. I wish I could be with him all the time, but I cherish each second I can spend with him when I visit him. Once again thank you very much for this book :)

Hi Mike,

Greetings from Maranatha. I got my copy of your book on Monday and just finished reading it today. It was a great read. I think I would have read it in one day if I had had a block of time to do that. The stories ranged from heart touching to aggravating. However, it certainly gave a clear insight into the minds and lives of those on death row. Those closing testimonies were worth the whole book!

Thanks for your passion to reach out to those in prison. Thanks for putting our Prison Society on the map!! We are proud of you. This book will stir the hearts of those who read it. It will make Death Row a reality! That is important.

Love you,

Dr J.

"God on Death Row" is first and foremost a testimony to the amazing power of unconditional love and forgiveness from a great and mighty God.

As a seasoned Christian, I was struck by the depth of love and knowledge these men and women possessed for their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  And that naturally overflowed into a sincere thankfulness for all that He had done in their lives.

Seeing names like Son of Sam and Jeffrey Dahmer in the table of contents made me unsure of what to expect.  But this book is extremely difficult to put down; a fantastic witnessing tool and a definite faithbuilder.

In other words...it is an important book by a new young Christian writer...not to be missed!

God on Death Row is a testimony of a college student who had a heart to share the Gospel with the undesirable. The undesirable people in God on Death Row have been found guilty by the court of law for assault, robbery, rape and murder; yet God offers them forgiveness. It is easy to judge from the outside the transgressions of a convict, but to love God enough to share the Gospel with convicted killers is something many would never take the time to do. Many would avoid prison ministry altogether. Mike Nadraus shows the need and effectiveness of prison ministry. In God on Death Row, Mike shares conversations he has had with death row convicts through letters written by him to the convicts and their responses to Mike’s letters. This book is an easy read that will challenge your heart to share the Gospel with the lost.  It is only by God’s work of grace in our lives that we have not committed the same sins as those on death row!

This book was such a blessing for me to read.  It is well written.  I would have to say it is phenomenal and I had trouble putting it down once I picked it up.

Read the book and I honestly don’t know how to put it into words how it affected me.  I was in tears by page 11.  It kept me asking how strong is my faith?  How critical am I?  Do I show the love of Jesus to others?  Am I doing enough in my life to walk the right path?  How is my personal relationship with God through Christ?  Do I take my Christianity for granted?  One thing is for sure, I want to make each day better than the last for showing the love of Jesus.

The book is A#1 awesome!  I could hardly put it down.  Through their letters I could feel the despair of these inmates.  But better yet, the moment they found Jesus and realized God loves them and always has no matter what!!!  I could feel their complete joy.

I can’t tell you how many times I was in tears reading this book.  It was so gut wrenching.  I will read it again.

This book is incredible! The lives that are portrayed are some of the largest names in criminal history and the stories are all directly from their mouths! This book is a must-have! I give major props to the author who took the time to write to these inmates and listen to their story and minister to them... as well as compile their stories so we can read them too!

This is old news by now but thought I would let you know that i did get your book!!  And have enjoyed it and been encouraged and sometimes challenged by it--and occasionally laughed :)  I've read most of it; usually just pick it up and read a section between lesson plans or something.  But I was glad to get it!

This was a book like no other. God on Death Row is an amazing story of faith and truth. It was so captivating reading the death row inmate's letters and reading some of their testimonies brought me to tears.

God on Death Row is definitely one of a kind.  Letters from convicted murderers and testimonies of the people who are looked at as beasts instead of human beings. This book can also be looked at as a wake up call for the unsaved and the saved who are backslidden. Reading the stories and testimonies of these people, the backsliders can see that God forgives whatever you have done while being backslidden if you ask for it. The unsaved will see that there sin, no matter how old they are, they can be forgiven if they just ask and believe.

God on Death Row really gave me awake up call, reading how spiritual these inmates were/are and realizing they read the Word of God more in a day then I do in a week. It was amazing that stories of these murderers, theses inmates could touch me so much and make me see more then ever the importance of faith.

I definitely recommend God on Death Row, it opens your eyes to see stronger faith and shows what God can truly do in anyone’s life, if you just believe.

It's just so real!  We never come close to the reality of things. Their faith is their life in this book.

God on Death Row; it enlightened so many people here at my Heartland Baptist Bible College.  I’m using so many illustrations from the book in my messages.  The David Berkowitz Testimony affects everyone!

This is the real deal! I roomed with the author for a year at college, and I can tell you he's the real deal. He spent a lot of time researching and corresponding with inmates from many correctional facilities. God on Death Row is a great read for anyone curious about true accounts of famous inmates on death row. And for those who have always been skeptical of death row conversions you may change your mind when you read personal letters from the inmates themselves.

A very unique and awesome book. What insight to what really happens on Death Row! Most of all, it proves that even the worst criminal can have eternity in Heaven if they truly repent and choose the Lord Jesus as Savior.
